Great question. I think it really depends on the learner’s motivation behind taking a MOOC - is it for career advancement, professional development or simply for personal interest. This will dictate the way in which a learner should approach a MOOC to get the most out of it.

Take your learning seriously. Create a study schedule before you start and make sure you stick to it. Use the discussion forums to interact with your peers and ask questions (as well as answer them). Take several MOOCs on the same or similar subject to deepen your knowledge. Happy learning!
