    Get your MOOC Certificates validated
It is becoming increasingly common for recruiters and academic institutions to see MOOCs added to candidates' résumés. By doing so, candidates can showcase relevant up-to-date skills and demonstrate initiative, commitment and drive all of which are very valuable skills in the eyes of employers and universities.

It is also fairly common for candidates to "exaggerate" their competencies and skills in order to stand out from the crowd, and the temptation falsely claim the odd online course or MOOC can sometimes be all too great. It is therefore necessary for those reviewing résumés or applications to check the authenticity of course certificates in order to ensure the applicants' claims are genuine.

The major MOOC platforms now award course certificates with a secure verification URL which allows others to check if a certificate is genuine, view the course details and in some cases, get a record of a candidate's performance in the course.

MoocLab will be launching a secure online database of all verifiable MOOC certificates in order to simplify the validation process of MOOC Certificates for recruiters and academic institutions by providing enquirers with the ability to verify a candidate's MOOC credentials. To get a certificate verified, the enquirer will simply need to submit a candidate's name, the course name and the providing institution or MOOC platform. This information will in turn be used to search the database, returning the verification URL for checking and confirmation of the validity of a certificate.

Help us build the database by submitting your MOOC certificate details and verification URL using our MOOC Certificate Authentication Form. By doing so, you will be adding to a meaningful and necessary project that aims to combat "CV fraud" and protect the time and financial investment made by genuine MOOC students as well as the reputation of MOOC credentials. In addition, adding your certificates to our database means that your credentials will be validated should a potential employer or school wish to verify them.

    Validate your certificates now!
