Why doesn't Coursera use YouTube for hosting course videos?

Coursera videos have rich interactive in-video quizzes, some that even let you drag and drop objects around and push the limits of what you can do in HTML.

This just wouldn't be technically feasible with YouTube, where you can only do relatively simple things like drop links into a video. This can probably be done with hacking around and/or a deal with YouTube, but I think it makes sense for Coursera to be able to tightly control the in-video experience, as this lets them advance pedagogy however they desire.
