• Programming Foundations with Python on Udacity - In this introductory programming class, you’ll learn Object-Oriented Programming with mini-projects
• Python courses for beginners on Udemy - a collection of short video courses
• Learn Python with Codecademy - Introductory python course
• Google's Python Class - this is a free class for people with a little bit of programming experience who want to learn Python
• Python for Everybody Specialization on Coursera - Learn to Program and Analyze Data with Python.
• Introduction to Programming Using Python on EdX - This course is an introduction to the Python programming language.

The first course I took was on edX.org an MIT beginning course in Computer Science.
It's the first in a sequence of 2 courses. I found this one and the second one a very useful introduction to Python, with coverage of some algorithms and object-oriented structures as well. Based on a real MIT course offered on-campus, it's not a trivial course, and requires some homework, but it's well worthwhile.
