Bloc's iOS app development course requires a Mac to run the Xcode IDE and related utilities. I recommend a MacBook Pro - either a 15", or a 13" with a large external display. (A MacBook Air will work fine, but you'll find yourself wanting to upgrade later.)
Bloc's other coding courses are platform-agnostic: any OS will work. That said, I'd recommend getting a Mac or Linux computer for software development.
For the UX course, I'd recommend a Mac because it will give you access to the best design software available.
