Are there any good MOOC courses for high school students?

Hi. I'm still in high school and I've recently heard about MOOC courses. Can anyone recommend any good courses for highschoolers please? Thanks

High schoolers can use the same MOOCs that adults use to follow their interests, but the most useful ones are probably the CLEP and AP prep MOOCs from Modern States.

If you’re in high school, take a look at EdX High School Courses: Get College Ready. Get Ahead. Get Learning! They “offer specially designed courses from top high schools, secondary schools and universities to help you prepare for Advanced Placement (AP®) Exams and CLEP® Exams, as well as introductory-level courses to help you get ahead of the game.”

You can use the courses to help prepare for the AP and CLEP exams, but also to get a taste of what it would be like to study at a potential university or to help choose what subject you want to study.

UK-based MOOC platform, Futurelearn, also has a “Going to University” collection of courses which allow you to “Try out new subjects, write a great university application and get ready for university study.” See Going to University - Free Online Courses - FutureLearn

You can take these courses free of charge. On EdX, you can choose to pay for a Verified Certificate which usually costs between approx $30 USD and $80USD. Futurelearn offers an optional course upgrade which gives you unlimited access to the course, includes peer reviews, tests and a Certificate of Achievement usually for £30-£40 GBP.
