Coursera also offers microcredentials known as Specializations which are a series of related courses designed to help you deepen your expertise in a subject. Learners are awarded a Specialization certificate by earning a certificate for each course in the Specialization.

Specializations are usually made up of 4 to 5 courses, although some may have up to 10. They generally take 4 to 6 months to complete and often end with a Capstone project which is assessed by other students.

Note that the individual courses in a Specialization can be taken separately but capstone projects are not available unless you have completed all the other courses in the Specialization.
