We are honored to announce that Babson College, a dynamic living and learning laboratory where students, faculty, and staff work together to address the real-world problems of business and society, has joined edX.
As the top-ranked college for entrepreneurship education, Babson brings extensive experience in the field of business strategy and entrepreneurial thinking to the edX global community of more than 9 million learners. Babson also shares edX mission to empower learners to gain deep, career-relevant knowledge.
Babson’s first offering on edX is an XSeries program titled Business Principles and Entrepreneurial Thought. The XSeries, made up of six courses, is designed for entrepreneurs of all kinds—both those working in existing organizations and those who are developing and launching their own ventures. The program teaches learners about entrepreneurial thinking and showcases how it can be applied to help make better, more strategic business decisions. Each course in the XSeries is designed to help learners take action that leads to success – whether they are tasked with contributing to the growth and bottom line of a larger company or they are starting their own business from the ground up.
The first course in the XSeries, The Entrepreneurial Mindset, is currently open for enrollment and begins on January 10, 2017. The course will explore all aspects of the entrepreneurial process, guiding learners through the mindset behind successful entrepreneurs and discussing the ways that they approach opportunities in various contexts – from start-ups to corporations.
The following five courses will be available starting early 2017. As with most edX courses, all of the courses in the XSeries are available for free to all learners. At the end of the Business Principles and Entrepreneurial Thought XSeries, learners can pay to earn a verified certificate, which can be added to a resume/CV or LinkedIn profile to demonstrate competency and knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship.
The launch of this XSeries from Babson College marks an exciting start to our ongoing partnership and we look forward to sharing news of more courses in the future.
