While not summarily dismissed, the bottom line is that right now we are 100% focused on providing the nicest experience possible for our students.
We think ads popping up while trying to learn hurts this experience, and at the moment we've decided that the expense of not using ads is easily worth making our students' lives slightly better.
The issue of sustainability is a bigger, legitimate question, and ads are not the only option. For now, it's all about our users.
