We are excited to welcome Utrecht University, an international research institution based in the Netherlands, as Coursera’s newest university partner.

Utrecht’s education model focuses on empowering students and instructors to pursue in-depth, personalized, and innovative learning and teaching opportunities. They will bring this focus to a series of strategically-themed courses on Coursera, beginning with a course on Clinical Epidemiology and expanding to include additional courses on social issues such as health, governance, climate, environment, and upbringing.

Clinical Epidemiology

  • Learn the principles and practice of clinical epidemiology.
  • Gain knowledge to evaluate and assess applied clinical research and data analyses.
  • Develop sufficient scientific and methodological background information to actively participate in clinical studies.

This course focuses on the questions of diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and etiology. Different options are available tackle these questions, including intervention trials and case-control studies using data obtained in a clinical setting. This course includes moderated peer interaction and review assignments.
