University of the People (UoPeople) is a tution-free, non-profit, accredited online academic institution offering Associates and Bachelors degree programs in Business Administration and Computer Science. UoPeople does not charge for tuition or books/materials, but a one-time application processing fee ($50) is required and subsequent examination processing fees ($100) levied per course. Student scholarship funds are available to assist students in financial need.

Courses are ten weeks long and are run via virtual classrooms consisting of students, the instructor, lecture notes, weekly readings, quizzes, homework assignments and discussion questions posted on discussion boards. Courses culminate with a final online examination. To complete an undergraduate degree, 40 exams must be passed, bringing the total cost of a degree to around $4,000.

UoPeople is affiliated with the United Nations GAID, the Clinton Global Initiative, and Yale Law School ISP. The institution has also signed collaborative partnership agreements with New York University (NYU) to accept students; Microsoft for scholarships, internships and mentoring and with Hewlett-Packard (HP) to provide student internship opportunities.

Acceptance into the University is not Guarenteed
This school has been great o far. I am expecting nothing but the best education from here, it is academically amazing and financially affordable.

Scholarships are available for those who qualify, as with any other school and my adviser will be there every step of the way. I cannot wait to start and finish, I am so excited about this.
