We're excited to announce the release of MoocLab's MOOC Platform League Table for 2018. This year's entries included 5 new-comers making a total of 16 MOOC platforms. For the purposes of this League Table, we looked at platforms offering courses in English and in a variety of subject areas.
Once again, Coursera and EdX top the league table in joint first followed closely by Futurelearn in second position, and Saylor Academy in third.
The 16 entries were scored on 8 different criteria such as credentials, learning pathways and social learning features. The interactive League Table can be used by students and lifelong learners to explore factors which are of importance to them and be guided in choosing the appropriate online course platform(s) based on the different measures of importance.
The 2018 MOOC Platform League Table is also accompanied by an interactive Comparison Table providing key information relating to 57 MOOC platforms across the world, allowing users to make informed choices based on their own measures of importance.
