Summary The Blackboard Educational Consulting team consults clients in the effective implementation of Blackboard platforms to support the use of digital teaching and learning, ensure successful adoption of the platforms, and maximize the educational returns on the client's investment. We provide clients with strategic consulting services which include defining requirements and business rules, facilitating application strategy sessions, drafting specifications, and leading the process that delivers our client systems to the production state. Position Responsibilities Develop and deliver online client training via Blackboard Learn and Blackboard Collaborate™ Develop and deliver onsite Blackboard platform and/or course design training Deliver strategic e-learning consulting services as needed for a broad range of clients around the topics of course design, course facilitation, faculty development, and implementation Communicate project results in well-documented reports Play and active role in mentoring and supporting team members Maintain product currency as well as industry knowledge Required Skills: At least (5) five years of experience in consulting/training Teaching experience in higher education, K-12, or government setting. Experience with online education technology platforms, preferably Blackboard platforms. Broad understanding of digital teaching and learning technologies Excellent skills in navigating issues in client environments and overcoming obstacles with strategic problem solving skills. An aptitude for generating client specific documents for unique implementations. Successful track record at leading clients through a program of change that impacts business, processes and technology Willingness to travel to client site (up to 75% of time) and to work both independently and with a team to deliver high-quality functional consulting services Demonstrated ability to work in a geographically distributed virtual team environment and to build relationships with internal and external organizations. Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills, and ability to manage expectations effectively when handling multiple assignments simultaneously with competing deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail, excellent work ethic and drive, great interpersonal skills, team oriented, and demonstrated problem solving skills. Fluency in written and spoken English Second language desirable, preferably Spanish Bachelor's degree from internationally recognized university required; Master’s degree preferred.
