The Advanced Placement Program (AP) is a university-level program created by the College Board to enable high school students to earn credit (points toward an undergraduate degree) or advanced placement (being exempt from an introductory level university course).

There are currently 34 AP examinations available which are designed to test a student's knowledge & skills in a particular discipline, and are recognized by more than 4,000 universities worldwide, with over 60 countries outside the United States recognizing AP in the admission process.

AP courses & exams are offered in most high schools across the US and Canada, but it is possible to take the AP exam without taking the class by arranging to test at a participating school.

If you are preparing for an AP exam, MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) provide a great way to build on your knowledge or even prepare for an AP exam from scratch at no or very little cost. Not only do these online courses allow you to progress at your own pace, they offer the added advantage of being accessible from wherever you are whenever you want.

With this in mind, MoocLab has carefully matched each Advanced Placement Program (AP) with a recommended study program using MOOCs and other free open educational resources to help you achieve your college and career goals.
